Team Cleaning® vs Zone Cleaning

This is a case study of an eight story office complex with 15,000 square feet per floor for a total of 120,000 square feet. Using zone cleaning, there were eight part time employees at four hours each day and one supervisor at four hours each day. Each part time employee was responsible for one floor which included; vacuum carpeting, empty waste receptacles, dust mop hard surface floors, clean restrooms, sweep stairways, clean elevators, as well as periodic and project work.


The following is Zone Cleaning labor and equipment costs:


Eight Zone Cleaners

4 hours per day at $10.35/hr = $331.20/day

1 Working Supervisor

4 hours per night at $11.35/hour = $45.40/day

$376.60/day X 5 days/wk X 51 wks

Total Annual Labor = $96,033




The following is Team Cleaning labor and equipment costs:

Five Specialists

4 hours per day at $10.35/hr = $207.00/day

1 Utility Supervisor

5 hours per night at $11.35/hr = $56.75/day

$263.75/day X 5 days/wk X 51 wks

Total Annual Labor = $67,256
